Optimization and printing of 350 ceramic bat nests, to create colonies for these winged mammals and to reduce the use of insecticides in the plantations of the Swiss brand’s various European suppliers.
The nests act through biomimicry, preventing the European wasp (Vespula germanica) from colonizing them due to their resemblance in color and shape to the nests of the Asian wasp (Vespa velutina).
In addition to biomimicry, the nest offers thermal qualities far superior to wood or plastic, ideal for bats. The nests have an internal structure that allows the mammals to take refuge in different internal layers depending on the time of year and their thermal needs.
It is made 100% from refractory ceramic.
