ElBulli1846

A sculpture made of ceramic, steel, and rubber, representing the working methodology El Bulli has implemented across different generations of chefs. The choice of ceramic relates to the noble material used in many tableware items, and its 3D printing responds to three main reasons: technological innovation, design fidelity, and cost-effectiveness. The ceramic pieces are crafted from glossy white glazed ceramic. Binderjet technology was selected to ensure maximum fidelity to the original designs, respecting curves, typography, and mechanical fittings. The ceramic pieces are precisely fitted into laser-cut steel plates. Furthermore, the absence of mold creation helped save significant economic resources, which could then be allocated to other components of the sculpture.
